24th Annual PTO Auction Q&A
Where is the Auction being held?
The auction will be held at Spring Ford Country Club located at 48 Country Club Road, Royersford, PA 19468.
What is the purpose of the annual PTO Auction?
The auction is held to promote fellowship between those who are a part of Coventry Christian School’s Family. The auction is held to raise funds for the PTO to help support and grow Coventry Christian School.
Who should attend the PTO Auction?
Any parent(s), grandparent(s), relative(s), or friends of Coventry Christian School.
When should I register for the PTO Auction?
Registration opens on January 29, 2018. Please register, as soon as possible, so we may accurately plan for this event. We plan on having a large crowd, so it is best to register early, as we may sell out. Additionally bidder numbers are provided in the order in which you register on the website. Check out is processed from lowest bidder number to highest.
What time does the event Start?
Doors open at 4:30 pm, which is when the silent auction portion of the event starts. Dinner will be served around 5:15 pm.
What time does the event end?
The last portion of the event, which is the live auction, typically ends at approximately 9:30 pm. Check-out will occur at that time, in order of your bidding paddle number.
How much does it cost to attend the Auction?
The Auction costs $40 and includes dinner, entertainment by auctioneer Kevin Zimmers and plenty of fellowship.
What are my choices for dinner?
The following are the four meal choices for dinner during the Auction:
- 12 oz New York Strip
- Pan Roasted Euro Chicken Breast
- Stuffed Portabella Mushroom
- Sauteed Filet of Atlantic Salmon
Each dinner is served with seasonal fresh vegetable and mashed potatoes.
Is babysitting available for my child(ren) during the event?
Yes, babysitting will be available at the CCS campus. Babysitting will open at 4:00 pm. Mrs. Becky will be in charge of babysitting and will utilize several of the high school students to help with the children. Donations for this service are requested by not required.
Dinner (typically pizza) will be provided for the students.
How should I dress for this event?
The auction is considered a Semi-Formal event, suggestion include a suit for men, and an appropriate knee length dress or dressy pant suit for women. This event is held at Spring Ford Country club, jeans are not appropriate attire for this event nor permitted on the Country Club’s premises.
What are accepted methods of payment for items I bid on and win?
Accepted methods of payment include credit card, check, and cash. Stop by the registration table when you arrive at the event for further instructions.
Where does my bid money go?
All funds raised from the PTO Auction are raised for the PTO. The PTO throughout the year and at the end of the year provides funds to help improve the school.
What items are for sale at the Auction?
The auction committee works hard to procure items for the Auction. The silent auction typically includes items from local stores which include jewelry, sports items, gift cards, gift baskets, etc. Continue to check out the PTO Facebook page and the CCS newsletter for a sneak peak on the items that will be at the auction. The verbal auction will consist of projects that the Teachers and Children have made and will have a very personal touch. You won’t want to miss the verbal auction!
