FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

Is the Gala still the auction?

Yes, the Gala is still the auction, however the auction will be a part of the night. The event will be elevated to include dancing, hors d'oeuvres, art gallery, silent and verbal auction.  

Where is the Gala being held?

The Gala will be held at the CCS Events Center.  

What is the purpose of the Gala?

The Gala is held to promote fellowship between those who are a part of Coventry Christian School’s Family.  The auction portion of the night is held to raise funds for the PTO to help support and grow Coventry Christian School.

Who should attend the Gala?

Any parent(s), grandparent(s), relative(s), or friends of Coventry Christian School.

When should I register for the Gala?

Registration opens on January 12, 2026.  Please register, as soon as possible, so we may accurately plan for this event.  Please plan to register early, as we may sell out. Additionally, bidder numbers for the auction portion of the are provided in the order in which you register on the website. Check out is processed from lowest bidder number to highest.

What time does the Gala start?

Doors open at 4:00 to 4:30 pm. The silent auction portion of the night will not open until 4:30 pm. Opening remarks will occur at 5:15 pm.  

What time does the event end?

The last portion of the event, which is the live auction, typically ends at approximately 9:00 to 10:00 pm.  Check-out will occur at that time, in order of your bidding paddle number.

Can I leave the Gala event early?

We encourage everyone to attend the Gala and the auction portion for the entire event. There are many things that occur throughout the Gala including the end of the night. Auction items won must be paid for and taken with the winner by the end of the night. The committee will not hold items to be picked up at a later time.

What are the meal selection for dinner?

The sit down dinner will start with a field green salad and a dinner roll.  Dinner options include:

  • Grilled chicken stuffed with perogies mashed stuffing and caramelized onions, and cheese, served with mashed potatoes and green beans with red peppers.
  • Beef short rib topped with a bordelaise sauce, served with mashed potatoes and green beans with red peppers.
  • Eggplant rollatini with blush, served with mashed potatoes and green beans with red peppers.

An assorted dessert table will be provided at the end of dinner.  

How much does it cost to attend the Gala?

The Gala costs $50 and includes dinner, dancing, art gallery, entertainment by a live auctioneer and plenty of fellowship.

Will I receive paper tickets for the Gala?

No, the Gala is done entirely online. Once you purchase tickets through the website you will receive a receipt to the email provided. You do not need to show this receipt when you enter the Gala. Everything will be saved within the software used for the auction portion of the night.

Is babysitting available for my child(ren) during the event?

Yes, babysitting will be available at the CCS campus.  Babysitting will open at 4:00 pm.  Typically one or two CCS personnel are in charge of babysitting and will utilize several of the high school students to help with the children.  Donations for this service are requested but not required.

Dinner (typically pizza) will be provided for the students.  

How should I dress for the Gala?

The Gala is considered a Semi-Formal event, suggestion include a suit for men, and an appropriate knee length dress or dressy pant suit for women.

What are accepted methods of payment for items I bid on and win?

Accepted methods of payment include credit card, check, or cash.  Stop by the registration table when you arrive at the event for further instructions.

Where does my bid money go?

All funds raised from the Gala are raised for the Coventry Christian PTO.  The Coventry Christian PTO uses these funds throughout the year to help improve the school.   

What items are for sale at the auction portion of the night?

The committee works hard to procure items for the auction.  The silent auction typically includes items from local stores which include jewelry, sports items, gift cards, gift baskets, etc.  The verbal auction will consist of projects that the Teachers and Children have made that will have a very personal touch.  You won’t want to miss the verbal auction!
